De Hoptimist Bar & Keuken

In the centre of Hengelo, the Hoptimist is a striking new hospitality venue that immediately evokes a holiday feeling. Guests are immersed in the flavours and atmospheres of Southern Europe. But it’s not just the menu that evokes that holiday feeling: the interior exudes the same relaxed, warm atmosphere. At De Hoptimist, it feels like a balmy summer evening on the Mediterranean, from the furniture and customisation to the lighting and finish. The existing bar has been completely transformed into a deep, elegant shade of blue. A bottle canopy has been created and the back wall of the bar has been renovated to match the warm Southern European style of the restaurant. In addition to functional elements such as built-in wine climate cabinets, various customised solutions have also been applied.

The wall finishes and ceiling modifications ensure pleasant acoustics and contribute to the intimate atmosphere. The custom-made benches blend seamlessly with the rest of the interior, making the whole space comfortable and stylish. The tables in the restaurant are custom-made from solid oak combined with various chairs, including the stylish Jacky chair. The bar tables and bar stools also contribute to a layered design with seating options for every occasion. On the colourful terrace, you will find the Toby-II terrace chair in blue and the Toby-III terrace chair in coral mixed together at tables consisting of the Roma-3 or Roma-4 base with a tabletop from our Topalit collection: sturdy, stylish and weatherproof.
