It’s a match, office bar for meeting and connecting

In Person is the entrepreneurial agency for job satisfaction and growth. A true matchmaker in and for the region. Their playing field? Temporary employment, secondment and recruitment & selection. Their ambition? To be (and remain) the favourite of ambitious employers with their own corporate culture and energetic employees. From their office in Rijssen, the team personally works on job satisfaction and growth.

The In Person office is really a place for meeting and connecting people. Where people spontaneously walk in for a cup of coffee at the office bar or for an appointment in the enclosed meeting room. Where In Person employees enjoy working. And yes, for this ambitious matchmaking agency, the interior and furnishings make all the difference.

Mapping needs

In Person sees their office as an extension of their culture, identity and ambition. Work with pleasure, grow In Person; that is their motto. This applies to clients, candidates and flex workers alike. The right match? It starts with that one first personal acquaintance. At the office. That is why the office has been extended with the adjacent building, the building has been renovated and the interior has been given a chic, warm look. An eye-catcher of an office bar, according to In Person entrepreneur Jan-Willem ter Harmsel, could not be missing. For this, he enlisted the help of Kaja Interieurs. A short Kaja & Co Design Sprint, but one with great visual impact in the office space.

An office bar to match

The office bar should match In Person’s house style, fit into the available business space and feel like a magnet for people to sit down. An office bar where collaborations are arranged, matches arise or successes are celebrated. Of course there was a budget, but this entrepreneur was mainly interested in the end result; an eye-catcher that matches the ambition.

In the room

Multifunctionality, flexibility and appearance are at the heart of this office space. From an enclosed meeting room and a long landing table to plenty of workstations and comfortable recliners. Seats to talk quietly about candidates’ future ambitions. A space for brainstorming or collaborating.

So in addition, the bar had to be given an appropriate place in the space. Because there is a lot of glass in this office building and not all walls or corners were nice and straight. So that was another challenge within this Design Sprint. Plenty of room for Kaja’s Design Sprint team to get creative.

On the chair of

The team sat in the seats of employees, candidates and customers. Together, they came up with the idea of installing a custom-made office bar in the middle of the room. Daring, but certainly successful. That’s the beauty of the space for co-creation between In Person and Kaja throughout the Kaja & Co Design Sprint. Complementing and strengthening each other; that works positively for everyone’s job satisfaction.

Realisation

The 5 design steps were fast-tracked, but always with a critical eye from the expertise of Kaja’s team. After the first design was discussed, feedback was processed and the second design proposal was put on the table. The final touches were added, quotations were finalised and the custom design could be realised. And all under the inspired experience and direction of Kaja. The result?
